Metaphors and Meanings

I always find it interesting to see a bright sky in the background with strong dark clouds in the foreground. Is the former conquering the latter? and is it saying anything about that particular day?

Ok so it's more like Pink, White, and Blue but in all fairness I could have used photoshop to edit it and I didn't.
